#13 Hogan won the face off that was in turn picked up by #15 Malcolm who skates through the circle beating 2 players before passing to #27 MacEachrean on the point who rips the puck in the net to make it 2-1.

First period ends 2-1.

5 mins into the Second Lynx find themselves shorthanded after conceding a penalty. #15 Malcolm clears the puck into the Paisley zone then realising there is an opportunity for a break, chases it beating Paisley’s Churchill to the puck then passes to Carnegie who slots a sublime wrist shot to tie the game 2-2, sending the 700 plus crowd wild.

Paisley quickly rebound to make it 3-3 before #5 Thomson from behind the net finds #13 Hogan who buries the puck to tie the game yet again.

Lynx concede another penalty late in the second and looked to have successfully killed it until Paisley score with 2 seconds left on the penalty, to make it 4-3.

Second period ends 4-3.

A bright start by the Lxnx in the third period as #27 Calum MacEchrean finds his brother #11 Fraser MacEchrean who sets up #13 Hogan to tie the game 4-4.

The next ten minutes of the period provide fast and furious end to end action before #15 Malcolm picks up the puck on the red line and skates in to the Paisley zone beating the Paisley defender with a quality toe drag before drawing Paisley netminder #96 Meechan and slotting it through the 5 hole to make 5-4 for the Lynx.

A serious incident involving #13 Hogan who is hit awkwardly a the edge of the plexi near the Paisley bench results in his departure form the game. This seems to give Paisley renewed impetus and they quickly equalise. With four minutes to go The Lynx concede a 5 minute penalty and Paisley score again to win the game 6-5.

A good performance by both sides in an entertaining and enthralling match and a great advert for SNL hockey. Part 2 concludes next Sunday Sun 29/3/15 6.00pm at Braehead Arena in Glasgow.
